BJ: While she was slipping in and out of things we talked about gambling and I called to have someone come for the stained clothes. They have a shop here if you'd like to get something, they may not be able to remove the stains. I will buy it , after all I'm the one responsible for choosing dinner. I owe it to you. I told her she didn't have to hurry, she could take her time . We had plenty of it.
Mercedes: You don't owe me anything, if it hadn't been the food, it would have been the wine I ordered.
BJ: The point is, it wasn't and it is something I want to do for you. You will you let me, won't you?
I took her by the shop and we went inside to look about . Emerald earrings? I asked.
Mer: The earrings he was looking at were more than twice as expensive as the dress, I decided not to argue this with him. They're beautiful. He wasn't to be swayed to the more modest pair, and I didn't push. This day seemed to never end; I wasn't sure I wanted it to either!
