She called him up one day and asked him out. She did this knowing that he would say yes. Knowing he would take a day away from his TV show 'Teen World' to go out with her, but not realizing that mom would kill both of them.
Mom chased them down, and brought Penny home. In school, the rumors about their being a couple ran rampant, and I took the role of preserving her reputation. Her now ex-boyfriend Bobby Bigelow was angry, and made a scene during lunch.
Later that same day; our school radio station came on the air with the 'news'. Jaime, a cute guy at the time, was responsible for letting everyone know everything; and when I heard him begin to start talking about Penny and Powell I ran out of my math class and down to the radio station. I let him know non-verbally that he would regret saying anything. But me being a normally non-violent person, I was ignored. Jaime continued to insinuate that 'one of the Chandler twins is seeing Powell from Teen World.' I opened the door, walked over to him, and placed my fist under his jaw, knocking him to the floor unconscious. The guy in the sound booth , George put music on and before turning off his microphone said 'Geez Claude', and when he realized that the whole school now knew I had knocked the kid out he turned red with embarrassment, and I couldn't believe he had just done that.
