Po'Em :Hennesy and I chose to go skinny dipping it the pool one day close the due date for Remington. Whenever we did this it was closed off to everyone else ofcourse. We were enjoying ourselves very much when I went into labor. The labor was sudden and seemed never to stop . It felt to intense to have just started but, what did I know? This didn't seem to me anything like Marilyn's birth. Hennesy wanted to get me out of the pool and managed to get me to the steps in the shallow end . I couldn't go any further and with the next contraction, Remington arrived ! Hennesy delivered our baby boy! Tied off and cut the cord , then delivered the afterbirth . While mother and child lay on a towel Hennesy called for the doctor. She was playing cards and glad to leave the game . She had been loseing.

He came back to us as we waited for the doctor to come through the door.

Po':Hennesy, I whispered, while the baby sucked at my breast, You were wonderful,just wonderful, would you let me kiss you ? You aren't going to fall apart on me when the doctor gets here are you? I love you. Isn't he just perfect? Honey, do we have enough room for the babies on the Whale?
Hennesy: Fall apart? no, course not. I'll go look for a house.
Po': A House! Hennesy , isn't that a little extreme, We would never be together at all, would we?

Hennesy: What do you mean? We can't have two kids here.... This place only runs on weekends, and things have been slow. We could cut it down to two weekends a month, couldn't we?

Po'Em: Could we, I asked ? But ...what would we do I asked him?
The thought of living on land suddenly frightened me . The thought of living like other people seemed strange . I felt like a little girl who has just been told for the first time that she had to grow up and I didn't want to!

Hennesy: Sure we could, and we'd just do the same things we do here, when it's just us and Marilyn, well plus this little guy of course, but it won't be too different.
