2406:
2399 April 5 Laural married Billy Bob Baker in Saint Marks Church. She was able to open her shop and Billy Bob his garage. Laural was happy all of 6 months before she realized Billy Bob was bopping Elli Swift. She found out when the doctor put her on medication for VD and advised her that she was pregnant. Laural decided to stop by the garage to confront him. She finally found him -with Elli in the parts room. His pants were around his ankles and she was on her knees infront of him. Laural had always been a person who thinks tough but, seldom spoke that way. Today, Laural didn't spend time thinking too much. Her mind raced over the scene before her and the words flowed from her mouth. "Billy Bob, I'm pregnant and the doctor says I have VD. So you might want to take that out of her mouth. She turned and left the room leaving the door ajar.

2399 December Billy Bob had gone with her to have tests done but,when the discovered the child would be born with defects and Laural refused to abort, Billy Bob Baker, picked up his marbles and left the game, as they say.
May 2400 Billy Bob Baker sent Laural the title to the garage. In the letter accompanying the title he told her that this would be the only support , financial or other wise the child would ever receive from him. That was the last she had heard from him.

2400 May 8 Mary Whittaker was born. Her parents Laural Whittaker and Billy Bob Baker. Laural had changed her name to Laural Whittaker and she gave Mary that last name also. Mary couldn't speak, was missing a kidney and one leg was slightly shorter than the other. In Laural's eyes Mary was perfect. It was 2403 when Laural explained to Mary that her father, Billy Bob Baker , had lacked the faith and courage it took to raise a child with her abilities.

2407 When she was seven Mary's father came to meet her. Mary fell in love with Billy Bob and he with her. Laurel didn't understand. Billy Bob was salitious ,gentle and loving , not only with Mary but, with Laural herself. Before she realized or could take any steps to stop it she began to fall in love with Billy Bob Baker once more. Laural didn't share this realization with Billy Bob but, kept it to herself, stealing herself against the moment he would decide that being a father to Mary was more commitment than he cared for . 2407 turned into 2408 then 2412 and he was still there. When Mary entered her teens and life became rocky Billy Bob tried helping them both to get over the rough times. The job he started in 2407 at the bus garage was still his in 2415. The only change being he was now in charge. Laural and Billy Bob had a brief affair, that lasted 3 months-July, August and September of the year 2417, Mary's graduation year. During that time they both realized that they shouldn't be anything but friends. Mary's closest friends were Jill Silva and Allison King.

2399 January 30 Laural couldn't believe the things she had seen , heard and learned within the last 12 months. Bentley Whittaker had been on the interplanetary council for 3 years now. Laurel was ready; to shake his, pardon , her family tree. The custody battle for Elijah had shaken all of the family and the truth came tumbling out. Grandpa King had raped Gandma Sheri twice . Her, Laural's mom was a child of rape, not love. Dear heavenly father. Laural wondered if it was the same for her" Laurel decided to go to reporter Susan Spader and tell her what she knew, for a price? No, free of charge. After this she would be able to buy that shop she wanted because the bank would give her that loan. Brian marring grandma Sheri was another earth shaker. Who would have thought-- and the baby too. He would have to love her. Why else would he marry her now?
Laurel would marry Billy Bob Baker in Saint Marks church in April of this year. He could stop thinking about robbing a bank and open that damn garage he wanted so bad. She was tired of waiting and if he wouldn't marry her she would find someone who would. Men weren't going to control her life anymore.

2420 July 3 This was when Mary became ill and her kidney failed her. Laurel was not a good match but, Billy Bob was. They tried to find another donor as a back up, with no luck. December arrived and surgery was scheduled then postponed. Billy Bob suddenly became ill with a virus. Brien II went to be tested. It was like a miracle. He was the best-perfect match. There were no explanations, it was just fact. Three weeks later they operated. The surgery was tricky-touch and go all the way. The procedure was new and Mary recovered speedily. Her body excepting the kidney and no set backs. Brien II survived the surgery but, died 3 days later . There was no explanation for this either.
2421 January 5 Brien King II died at the age of 88.

Elijah was 23 when Brien II died. The media broke the story of Mary's kidney, making Brien II a hero. One story led to another until his life was lit up for all to see. The good and bad.
Emotions ran high within the King family. The widow left for the seclusion of their summer home and stayed there until her death. April 10, 2429.
Ellijah felt relief at his fathers death. From relief to a deep sadness and then disquest mingled with hate, pride and love.

2399 January Rowena couldn't believe any of it How could this be happening to Brian! If necessary she would lie, no, she would tell them her truth and they would believe her. People always believed her. She had the gift. Sheridan would make Brian happy. In fact she already had. Sheri was the only other woman Rowena had ever really had to share him with. The trash didn't count. He never gave them anything of himself, just gifts and sex. Row felt a twinge of jealousy. It was hard to let go of your first true love. She wondered then if Brian had felt this way about Ari ?

2399 January Rowena went to court for Brian Doyle. She told the truth but, if necessary she could have lied. Brian D, was one of her best friends. They had been everything to each other during their life time, except enemies. Brian D had been her first true love and lover. Now she loved him like a brother and was protective of him. This whole court thing was a farce! How his dad could think he had a right to that child, was beyond her altogether. A rapeist had no rights to the child or mother. When it was over Row was glad she didn't have to deal with the aftermath. If she had been in Sheridan's place, even if the man had been Brian Doyle, she would have asked that he and God forgive her and then shot him dead. She was almost sure of it. Right between the eyes.
After the trial she would be on her way back to France. Her parents were coming with her and would stay 6 months then travel around Europe.

It was over, all over. Relief was what he felt as he sat alone in the small anti room. His son had forgiven him because, he had finally admitted the truth. The truth to everyone about everything. Dionne would never forgive him for loving Sheri more . If she looks deep inside herself, he thought, one day she will have to admit that she knew all along, that we had talked about it from the very beginning. He, himself, would have to admit that after he took Sheri that first time, he had started to doubt her love for him. He needed her in his life. He still needed her. She had said she forgave him today in court. How could she continue to find it in herself to forgive? He had left her beaten,bloody and pregnant, this time. Just pregnant the first. He had linked her to him in a way she could not escape. Brien II wondered, how could his son forgive him for that? How could she still be the same woman she had been? How could his son still love her and for that matter how could he. Was it about love at all or Power?

Brien II was glad his marriage was over, although he lover her, Dionne would always doubt him, always had. Dionne would be better off now, she would be free . All of her demons were out in the open. He would walk away from this.

2402 April 4 Brien II served 3 years and 3 months. Elijah was at the dance studio and Brien recognized him right away. They talked for awhile. The boy,his son,was bright. seemed happy and moved with a dancers grace even at this young age. He was 4, he had announced, and his name was Elijah. Then unexpectedly he took Brien's hand and led him to a corner where another child lay curled up in a huge Papa San chair. My sibling, he announced. Brien II wanted to scoop Elijah up into his arms and disappear. There was on doubt that he was his child and that the little girl was his grandchild,Allison.
Brien saw the children often during the next 2 years. Dionne started an affair with a much younger man and while the two of them were visiting Brian Doyle and Sheri, Brien II arrived. The whole thing blew up as did Dionne's relationship. He couldn't handle life the way Dionne had to live. By the time he discovered he couldn't do with out her, a mater of 2 or 3 days, she had moved on. Russell Chandler walked into her life and had on intention of walking away without her. He didn't . They were married .
2403 September 16 Dionne and Russell Chandler were married.

2404 October 28 Claudia and Penelope Chandler were born to Dionne and Russell Chandler.

Dionne and Russ never looked back Their life was in the present, looking to the future, not the past.
