2405 BJ: I wasn't able to do anything about Skyler. She was canceling her summer tour, excuse me , their summer tour and they as a family were going away -a vacation. She wasn't telling me or our parents where they were going. I just did not get it. The thing that bothered me most was that Roman didn't seem to know anything was wrong!
I was taking a run, oh it must have been about a month since I had last been on the Whale. I hadn't given up my suite, I just hadn't gone, with all the family stuff I had going on. The only thing that wasn't driving me crazy was my job. I had decided to stop at the Deli and get some cold cuts and a couple of steaks and then head home. I walked in and gave my order. I smiled at the woman behind the counter and asked where Calabrese was. She seemed to know me and told me her name and where she had seen me. That's when she confided in me about Joseph . She told me that I better hope that he wasn't ever here when I came in because he was looking for me to come in . It was something to do with his mama! She didn't know any thing else. Then she handed me my meat and I left thanking her. On the way home I wondered, just what could the butcher want with me? I didn't even come here often.
BJ : I picked up the phone when I got home and called Mercedes. No one was there. I left a message-Mercedes, it's BJ. I'm going to be doing my show from the roller skating rink tonight, would you like to come? Just give them your name. I will have a pass waiting for you. I sent her a bouquet of colored daisies with a note saying that if she didn't want to come to the Rink but, Still wanted to see me I would be at the 8th Street park on the bench at 1 am.
Mercedes didn't come to the Rink. I went to the park when I was done. Waited until 1:30 and then finished my run home. She just hadn't gotten the message, most likely. The next morning I called a realtor. I had decided to make a commitment. A big one. I would see how I handled it.
I had been talking to people about buying a house for a long time. They would let me know when they knew of a place they thought I might like and I would write the information down. By the time I started drinking my fourth latte, I had decided that a Condo, or Loft sounded like it might be better for me. Less upkeep, yes and less responsibility. At this point, I wasn't sure I would ever be ready for more responsibility. The realitor said he would get back to me.
