2405 Mercedes: I had been out all night, and came home at about 2am to a bouquet of daisies and a note from BJ. He wanted me to meet him either at the roller rink for his show, or on the park bench after at about 1am. He wouldn't still be there, and I needed sleep. The next morning, I stopped over to see Joe at the Deli, reminded him once again to mind himself. I stopped over at BJ's, sat in the car for a minute thinking, and then went to his door and waited to see if he would even answer his door.
BJ: I was just hanging up from the realtor, when another call came in and I answered it. The Guys wanted to do something tonight! The door I said as I opened it . Mercedes was standing there and I motioned for her to come in . I told the guys I would get back to them a little later and hung up. Hi, want some latte?

Mer: I'd love some. How did things go at the rink last night? Sorry I couldn't meet you, my grandson took me out for a lecture and a movie.

BJ: Your gran--. I stopped myself from finishing the sentence and asked who had been lecturing and what the topic had been and noted that it must have been a short one if they had also gone to the movies.

Mer: Joe wanted to lecture me about my behavior, and my choice in men; and I told him it was none of his business.
BJ: Oh, I thought you meant you WENT to hear someone !
Mer: I laughed, no. No such luck.

BJ: I'm looking for a different place to live, I told her. Already talked to a realtor this morning. I had thought a house but I decided a condo or a loft, instead . Do you know of any? I've been networking , but they all seem -just not right for me.

Mer: I've noticed a couple of places, but you've probably seen them already. To myself, I wondered if this had been the reason behind the flowers and the call last night.
BJ: Mer, I haven't seen a thing . I've been busy with family stuff. Is there something you would like to do today? It's friday and I don't have to be anywhere at all today, but maybe you do, I asked.
