Dionne': Russell and I hadn't talked about having children, we had both had our own already, and I think we thought we were too old to even try! I went to my regular appointment, you know the annual physical. The doctor said something to me that I will never forget; he told me I was pregnant. I went home and made dinner. When Russ came in, I guess I didn't notice, I was busy trying to figure out how to tell him the news. Oh, Russ! Can you sit with me for a minute? I want to tell you something.
Russ : Dee, would you give me 10 minutes, I need to unload. Thanks.
I went straight to the bedroom stripped pulled on trunks and dove into the pool . I did a few laps Towled off and went into the kitchen looking for her. Not there! I tried the next room she liked best and went over to her. Kissed her. She was acting strange, and I remembered the doctor's appointment and took a seat infront of her on the floor. What is it! I asked?
Dionne: The doctor says I'm pregnant.

Russ: my smile came as it always did , sliding across my face. We can still do that I asked as I pulled her hands from her face. Do you feel as good about this as I do ? Is it safe for you to? I had a million questions. First though , I took her in my arms and kissed her . I love you Dee.
Dionne': I love you Russ. I had all the same questions he had, I just wasn't able to ask at the doctors office, shock had taken over.

Russ: I-We will go into my den and call. He will talk to us now. That is what we did. He answered all of our questions and left me relieved . Dee and I talked about it and decided to have the beautiful twins we now held in our arms.
