2399 January Bart knew he would never forgive Brien King II for what he had done . Bart knew where that man was going when judgment day came -HELL!
Bart didn't know how his mom could forgive that man. Brian Doyle was his son. So maybe that was reason for him to forgive him. Bart didn't think he would be able to forgive his father if he were if Brian's place.
Bart thought he understood Brian Doyle King and he even admired some of his achievements. He had watched exchanges between Brian Doyle and his mother, anyone could see that they loved each other but, love isn't all there is to it. He knew that, Bart was in love.
He had loved Karen for 3 years now. She said, that she loved him too but... The BUT, if you asked him, Bart would tell you to add another T to that word and you would have Saul Goldman. Goldman had money , a career and the right religion, Jewish. Bart's career was in conservation. money? Well money was not a priority in his life. Religion, Bart was Christian. Her parents wouldn't have let him get close enough to even breath on Karen. Bart thought that if he was just 1/10th as lucky as Brian Doyle , Karen would be his.

March Karen stood making conversation with a group of friends. She had come with Saul to this party and she was enjoying herself. Saul knew so many people and they got along. She liked him immensely. People likened him to Lacey King and whispered that once he married Karen, Saul would settle right down as Lacey had. Saul was dancing with a beautiful strawberry blond haired woman . Karen had see her at many of the same parties they attended. Saul held her close whispering in her ear. Then let her go as the music changed. Karen was startled when she saw Bartholomew enter the room. He seemed different to her somehow. Her friends were quiet for a few seconds staring at him. Then the whispering started as they graded him. Her best friend Gale, recognized Bart and wondered aloud why he was still standing there like that. It soon became clear-a woman.

She wore clear polish on her nails. Her accessories were simple silver drop earrings and silver bracelet. The heels she wore were dark brown 2" heels the same color an Bart's Tux.
Karen felt tears touch her cheeks . Bart hadn't dated anyone but her for the last 3 years. Who was this person? Viva was saying, that is Dawn Brown, her mother is a Marshal, you know the crime family. Karen ran. Saul tried to stop her but, she brushed him aside running up the steps and out the door. How could you Saul, she shouted and ran straight into the arms of Senator Addison Mead. Addison was just getting out of his car when she ran into him. Release take me home she begged and so he did.
Karen was crying in his arms where she had thrown herself. When she finally looked up to see who had taken pity on her she saw him. My lord, she thought , they look so much alike . If I just shut my eyes..She shut her eyes and kissed him. Slowly he gave way to her kisses and kissed her back. Karen felt a warmth and hunger spread through her . She had never felt this before, it felt like home and she had to have him. He didn't know who she was, Bart had kept his family separate from her.

Senator Mead had taken her home - to his home. He gave her a brandy and drank two himself. He was in love and if she was willing he would marry her tonight. No more drinks until after the vows had been said. He asked her at the same moment she did. They would marry now and do it proper later, in church. That was how it happened. Addison wasn't about to lose her now that he had found her so they consummated the marriage that night. Karen decided they should keep it from her parents for at least a month.
