2049 Shelby spent as goodwill ambassador to the world and for this world. Nicholas took her to Greece with him and later she met his parents. Then in Dec. she was back hone in Lakeville, knocking on Chris's door. Libby seemed pissed that Shelby had asked to speak to Chris alone. Shelby wanted Christopher to do a Christmas charity concert with her. There was nothing strange about her request, she had done it all her life. The only difference was that Libby was married to Chris now and she seemed to expect to be included. When she left a half hour later, Chris had agreed to do the concert and whatever else he had been talked into.
To be fair to Christopher, if he and Libby had other plans or were involved in another project, Shelby would not have gotten her way. Fortunately Shelby's timing has always been impeccable.
Shelby's friends felt that she was much to involved with her Music,Business and Charity work, for her own good. They wanted her to take some time for herself. She soon surprised them all.

2053 The singing group Steam was just finishing their last song and taking their leave of the stage. As the applause for Steam died down a foggy opalescence began to cloak the stage and the crowd grew quiet. It seemed that she appeared by magic at center stage. At first she just stool at the back of the stage. Then as the orchestra began to play her theme music she raised her arms as if to embrace a dear friend and walked toward them. She wore a cafcan which appeared to change color as if it were a true opal. Its watery colors blending ,flowing together with every move she made. Their response was immediate and complete. You could feel the love and trust being shared this night. Three hours later she tool time before her last number to talk with them. Shelby thanked them for their loyalty , told them how much they meant to her and then gave them the news, she was going to have a baby and marry Nicholas Powers. While the audience was absorbing the news Shelby finished the last song and with a kiss to all disappeared just as she had earlier appeared. She was gone but, the crowd was still reacting to her presence and the sound was deafening!
no one wanted to follow that performance! That was how the world came to know of her coming marriage,child and the time off she planned to take. Shelby always did things on a GRAND SCALE.
The whole world wanted more facts. Their STAR had disappeared and there was no one to answer.

2053 September 19
The mountains were glorious. The heavy mist had started to rise into the bright sunlight. The result was the same opalescence Thomas had manufactured for that last show. She was doing it again, thinking about the show. Creating an atmosphere for the performance, the music! Stop!She shouted and the hills repeated , stop! Her head began to replay the whole concert for her from beginning to end and she liked what she saw.
Slowly, Shelby became aware of her surroundings. The sun had now burned off the morning mist and given warmth to the rocks. The leaves on the trees were aglow with reds,yellows and oranges. The firs displayed subtle shades of green and blue . Everything seemed more alive!As she sat taking it all in she heard the crush of leaves on the path and knew that if she turned her head she would see him. Nick was humming. He took her into his arms and gently kissed her lips. The kiss was soft and warm. It made her feel alive. He laid his hand on her abdomen to feel the child within,who would be named Autumn. She would come in December, not a long ways off really. It all seemed like a fairy tale. Hopefully the happily ever after kind..
nicholas was kind, gentle, caring and supportive. Some of her friends had said too good to be true. They were skeptical of his motives. They wondered,was really poor or had he gone broke and after her money. Nick quieted this fear by insisting upon an prenuptial agreement for both of them. Even this did not quiet everyones fears. Only time would do that.
They spent 3 months together there in the hills. This was their honeymoon. Then they headed back to Lakeville. Autumn was born
2053 December 7. As soon as she was able Shelby went back on tour. Nick was supportive and joined them when he could.
Shelby became pregnant again and that November 10, 2054 Amber arrived. Again as soon as the second week of December came, Shelby was back on the road. She and Chris did the annual Christmas Charity concert, soon after Chris and Libby's daughter America was born. About a month later Christopher joined Shelby on tour. Bored without Chris, Libby went back to work leaving both children with Chris. Then after 6 months she came back and took both children with her,leaving Chris alone. Shelby was ourraged to think that Libby would do this. She had kept her mouth shut the first time but, she exploded now. Ofcourse Chris defended Libby but, he was angry. Then more bad news for Chris, his show was canceled. Still more bad news followed, when their mom, Sidney, was badly hurt when someone tried to kidnap Elijah while the two were walking in the park. Sidney is alive but, no one knows how long it will take her to recovery.
