2393 Alisa awoke ,the next morning wondering how she even got home from , where has she been? Oh yes, the Grand Opening of the Whale. She had thought it would be fun and it was. She was sore all over. She and others had stayed after most of the people had left. Why couldn't she remember things better? Alisa had been to parties before and had remembered everything. A sea of faces swam before her and she felt desire and a moistness between her legs. Alisa arose quickly and she must have her period she thought. She saw no evidence of it but she was indeed sore. Suddenly she bit back half the scream that came from deep inside. She sounded like an injured animal. There was pounding on her door. Andy was there wanting to know if she was alright. Alisa hurried to the door in an attempt to stop Andy's pounding. Once Andy saw he she knew something was wrong. Alisa tried to calm herself and her friend but, Andy wouldn't leave . She put her arm around Alisa and led her to her, Andys, apartment, next door. Andy felt that if there was someone else in Alisa's place the best thing to do would be to get Alisa out of there.
Here she sat in Andy's husband Jack's huge terrycloth robe, deep within their Papasan chair with a glass of brandy between the palms of her hands. She felt safe as she took small sips from the glass and felt warm as the liquid slid down her throat. Alisa felt foolish as she told Andy what she could remember of the night before and what she feared had happened.
They had made a pact not to have sex before marriage, it was something she believed in. How could this have happened."Rape". Andy had said. Alisa didn't believe that. Who had she had sex with?Or worse how many ? Why couldn't she remember.
A few weeks later Alisa saw a doctor and had a preg. test. That test was positive. Alisa already knew her options ,and for her, having the baby was the only thing possible. Alisa didn't know if she could keep the baby after it was born. She was 37 without a husband. What kind of a parent would she be and how could she tell the child that she didn't know who daddy was?
