Alisa turned to her mother for help. At first she just wanted advise and then she asked the ultimate question would she raise the baby for Alisa. Sheridan pleaded for time. She never thought this would happen. She had changed her whole life around and children at this time did not fit into it.

Then last but not least, if Sheridan did do this she would have lied to him. Brian and Sheri had no lies between them and so after she left Brian she went to See Alisa.
Sheri gave Alisa her answer The shock that flooded her face was clear. Her mother's reasoning (she kept Brian out of it) grudgingly made a kind of sense to her but, ...but mom was so good at it!!! Alisa was raised to make the best decision for all concerned including herself. So when the child arrived she was given up for adoption, an open one,where Alisa and her family would be allowed to share in the child's life. Alisa could live with this arrangement.
