Once upon a time, a girl and her mother became almost obsessed with paper dolls, and these are their attempts at taking those stories, and making sense out of them....

Row had everyone hunt up the mending. Peyote had gotten his and Colin's things and Rowena had proceeded to mend them. Steph and Peyote were busy with her sketching. Row asked Peyote where she should put the mended clothes. He told her just to knock on Colin's door and go in . So she did, after Colin said yes. She deposited the clothes o his chest of drawers. Seeing her still standing there looking at him he asked in an amused tone if there was more she wanted. Blushing Row asked if there were more to be mended and quickly left with another pile. Rowena took up needle and thread smoothing the fabric. Then taking small even stitches trough it she recalled the day Colin had stitched her hand. She took a moment to run a finger tip over the scar. She had been worried about the cut and it's depth and her ability to perform surgery. Peyote was 40 but, he seemed a child to Row. Even Brian at 23 seemed more of a man. Colin, who she learned was 58 in 2385, was able to sew up her hand and it was as good as new. Peyote couldn't work up the courage or even move himself to help . He just held her hand in shock. That is what Row thought that is what it was. Brian and Colin, Rowena had told Stephanie, were the only two men she had ever wanted to be with. Colin was a man and Rowena loved the man he was now. As she sewed the fabric of his shirt together she seemed to sew her own life together also. She made the decision to stay and hang her MD shingle in town for the next 3 years at least. With the decision made the excitement and electricity that always came to her at times like this hit her full force.
