Progress Report How things are progressing...

Progress is slow going, I am realizing that I have so many characters to keep track of, that it will be a HUGE task to get things to a point where timelines measure up and match, and things make more sense, and have considered that this could potentially add up to much more than I had originally thought. I have started to piece together a database so that I can more easily keep things sorted out. I expect that it will be rough going however. There is much overlap between the characters and time periods that were created so many many years ago. I feel old just thinking about it all! It's only a little challenging to remember specific tales you created as a child.. 20 years (or more) past.
Being a Ceriton means many things, first and foremost being that they are not Human, but an alien race from the planet of the same name. They are capable of shape shifting, changing size and appearance, as well as changing from a humanoid form to that of the feline persuasion. The natural form (and also the most indicative that you are in the prescense of one) would be the state at which they are 2 or 3 times the size of an average Human being.

The race is able to instantaneously transport from one place to another over great distances, without the use of technology. They tend to mate for life, and to be jealous and aggressive. Mating is done ONLY with a kiss on the lips, and always results in either a single child or a litter. They are capable of mating with Humans, in the same way as with each other. While kissing will "mate" a ceriton with either human or ceriton, sexual intercourse will not "mate" but can still produce children, although there is no guarantee that it will.

The planet Ceriton is led by a Monarchy, and they as a race have a lifespan that at least doubles that of humans.

Dionne: My girls aren't human..? I felt panic; it wasn't possible! I felt betrayed, lost. The one thing that could certainly make me lose my mind, I lost my Ransom to Ceritons, my whole philosophy was to avoid them at all costs, Ceritons stole my life from me, and endangered my family repeatedly over the years. I don't know how to process this. How is this possible Russell? I broke down in tears; Can you fix this? I need you to fix this Russ, y-you have to! I can't possibly explain this to Lacey! What would I say?

2414: Chablis

I totally am in love with him! Hagan is awesome, and gorgeous, and did I say gorgeous?

Marilyn: Why can't HUMAN be one of your requirements? Oh, right; forgot, that'd be too simple.

Chablis: What the heck Marly! So what if he's not human? He's so much cooler than that!

Marly: Chablis, why do you...

Chablis: A girl can have a crush without being messed with over it can't she? Seriously Marly; you've gotta like someone!

I hate these conversations. Marly, I'm going skating; I'll talk to you later.
I hung up on Marly and headed for Monument park; walking past the skate park, I waved to Damon and Dean as I passed. I may not have been allowed in there last year, but now I wasn't even allowed to talk to anyone there. River sure knew how to mess things up for me, if he could find a way for me to cause myself to be barred from places he didn't want me, he'd do it. If he couldn't, he'd find a way to cause it himself. Dean's dad hates me, and I can only guess that it has something to do with River.
Continuing to the park, I pulled my board out, and made my way through my habitat, trying to look normal while keeping a close eye on Hagan, the guy who wasn't human, and who spent his free time in Monument park sketchbook in hand, drawing everything. The only visible difference between him and any other normal human teenager was his skin. He shimmered a greenish blue, sort of like the ocean, but more like an iridescent fabric with a slightly rough texture. I would hang out with the guys, and act like he was no big deal.

2418:

I pulled on the girly purple sundress over a sheer tank top and black leggings, then pulled my sneakers on and grabbed my board, and my video camera. This music video would be the greatest yet! I ran in the front office at the skate park: Damon! I need Dean to help me with this video; I have to have it done this weekend or else I can't submit it. Damon was fidgety, something is wrong. What's up Damon?

Damon: Chablis, Deans gone. He left a letter for you, and I promised I'd keep an eye out for you, but you can't come here anymore. I handed her the letter, and made her leave as quickly as possible.
2412:

Chablis: Hunter, can you drop me at the skate park? Dad can't, and mom won't; she thinks I need a day at the "spa"! Hunter, you can't let me be dragged into that; I'm not Pandora, it's not my scene!

Hunter: You realize it couldn't hurt if you actually knew how to be a girl right? I mean, you're killing mom. I think Dad's getting a little mad about it himself. You can't avoid mom forever.

Chablis: Wanna bet? I avoided Cassidy all summer. I'm not sure why your ex-girlfriends think they can win you by kissing up to me, but it's getting old.

Hunter: Blis, come on! Get in, and don't forget your stuff. You have to have that cell phone with you, or else Mom will come down there and really ruin your whole "I'm one of you" reputation!

Chablis: No problem; I'm prepared! I grabbed my things, and Hunter dropped me off in front of the skate park, with the warning to behave. Yeah, okay Hunter; no cops today, I promise!
I turned around to head into the front office and realized that Damon was working. He didn't bend the rules for anybody; not even me. Hey Damon! I tried to stay positive, and hide my disappointment. Is it busy today?

Damon: Hey Chablis, you still can't go in there, doesn't matter how busy they are. You know that. You can't go in there; the boss finds out I let you, and I don't have a job anymore. Who are you trying to impress today anyways?

Chablis: Damon, I looked to the front of the room, and caught a glimpse of Marilyn passing by. OH crap, can I use the bathroom, and maybe can you tell me when Marilyn leaves?
Damon: I couldn't help myself, and started laughing. This girl was more of a regular here than the regulars, and from the look of it, she didn't want her best friend to know the extent of it. "So, why are you hiding from your best friend" I asked from the office side of the bathroom
door.

Chablis: Because Marilyn ganged up on me yesterday. Her and everyone else female that has any part in my life, and frankly I'm pissed off.

Damon: She's gone now. What could you possibly have done to get ganged up on for?

Chablis: Oh, Pandora's back in town... and they all think I don't act enough like a girl. I so totally got born into the wrong family Damon. You think Dean will come downtown and hang out? Since you won't let me go in?
Damon: I'll see, but you better not pull any shit this time; he can't come home looking like he did last time, or else Mom will kill me. I told her to get moving before Marilyn came back, and she left.
Hey Dean, your friend wants you to meet her downtown; do me a favor and get back here before Dad gets in?

Dean: Cool. I'll be back in time, no worries. I grabbed a couple of the guys and I took them to meet my friend. Chablis was a kick-ass boarder, and laser skater too, but the guys still wouldn't believe me. As we rounded the corner into the cement domain of monument park, I knew that by the end of today there would be no doubt. She might not be allowed into the skate park, but that's because Dad banned her from the premises after she broke a couple rules, you know the safety rules... the important ones. "Guys, she's fearless. Seriously."

Chablis: Dean kept his word and brought some of the guys over with him, and we had a blast. Dean left with his friends in time to be back at the park by closing, and I met Hunter in time for my ride home.

Keely: This isn't happening. My daughter gone working at risk kids this summer; meant much time alone for me. I have no problem with this, it means I can bring dates home if I want, I can relax and take 2 hours in the tub if I want to even. Last year, Gram and Boyd ended a relationship over an affair with me. One day Boyd happened to be here for some event or another, at least that was his pretense for coming around, not that he needed one, he paid in full so nobody could rent the room out from under him.

I walked in the door after a horrible lunch date, (yeah, another one of those)and saw BJ in his room getting ready to button his shirt up and head who knew where, but he was in the kitchen; public space. I walked over behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist with a hug. What brings you to Chicago? I asked, and moved away toward the sink for a glass of water, I suppose you could say I let my hands slide off him on my way. Oh, and did you know you always, ALWAYS, smell like the beach at the ocean, or like muddy campsites? I smiled and laughed.
I wasn't thinking about sex, I wasn't thinking about coming on to him.

***Two Months later***
Boyd was back again, and things were normal. I couldn't meet him for lunch because I had a doctors appointment, so we opted for dinner instead.

Listen, Dr. Williams; I can't be pregnant... I just can't!

Dr. Williams: I'm sorry, but you are pregnant; and according to the ultra sounds you're two months in. Here, take these print outs, and the lab results. I want you to go home and relax and when you've done that, call me and we'll talk about what's next.

Keeley: I picked up the pile of "stuff" from the Doctor, and went home. Walking in, I dropped it all on the counter and went to take a shower. I didn't pay attention to see if BJ was there, or out or what. I wound up sitting in the shower, sobbing relentlessly. I think it took 30 minutes for the water to turn cold and force me out. I wrapped myself in a big terry robe, and went back downstairs, maybe some tea would help.

I stepped into the kitchen and saw that BJ had found the papers etc. where I had dropped them. I couldn't tell if he had connected the dots or not, I couldn't tell how he felt about what he saw. I wondered if he would say something, but since he was just looking at me with a question in his eyes; I decided to just get it over with. "I'm pregnant, and you should know that the baby is yours."

BJ: How? When?
Keely: Are you serious? You need to ask me that..?
BJ: But we're always careful.
Keely: Yea, we are. and yet I'm pregnant. I stated, indicating the papers.
BJ: I have to go. I turned and walked out the door.

Keely: Unreal. I can't believe he just walked out like that! Boyd, my friend with sometimes benefits.. heck, that doesn't even feel right. BJ, my childhood friend; who I've never ever lied to or deceived and he walked out on me like I told him I was from another planet or something!

Pandora: I managed to make it through school without hurting anyone too bad. Seemed as though things were pretty rough going back in Texas; I missed home. It had taken so loooong for people to forget about my mother... Marijuana. What kind of name was that?! Heck... what were they thinking naming me Pandora?!!! Guys heard my name and if they could, they ran in the opposite direction. Business was business, and I had amassed a decent sized fortune for myself, all from furniture design! Now, I was young, independently wealthy Pandora Monroe, and some bitch thought it would be funny for me to be part of the "Earths Sexiest Humans" edition of Time Magazine. I had relented and gone along with the photos and publicity that went along with it. Yay me, featured on the cover with none other than my nemesis Aiden Cash.

I put in a call to Po' and explained I wanted out; and would it be a huge deal if I gambled away my stake in the business? I think that made her mad; she suggested that I was NOT under any circumstances going to do it that way; and it sure as hell wasn't happening on the Whale. I halted my thoughts from that direction, and changed my mind. I let her know that I had instead decided all my income from the venture would be donated to Aiden's school programs; and I'd handle getting the legal stuff worked out.
Keely: I thought a lot about BJ. I thought about what he had been like when we were younger, I thought about how we came to be where we were. Summerset Texas; I was visiting family with Caroline, and hoping that the summer on the ranch had made any difference in her behavior. I realized that BJ had been renting the spare room for a year, and had just secured the space from me for another year. It seemed like we'd both managed to stick to the terms of that affair while Cat. was gone. I wonder what it was that he felt for Grams, hell I wondered who the woman was that convinced him so thoroughly that he didn't need it! Shit, I suppose that same sentiment could be applied to myself. Well; seemed there were plenty of guys who wanted to see me... all of me, and none of them had any interest in associating in any way with my girl.
Caroline well, what could I say. She absolutely connected with him. While he was in Chicago she had been doing things I hadn't seen her do before. She had friends actually coming over to hang out; she had her homework done on time, and for this trip she had actually been friendly with her cousins and family. I was impressed.

Caroline: If I had been any normal kid, I might not have noticed the small change in my mom. When I got back from "boot camp", and gave her a hug she smelled a little different. Then the ride to the house, and greeting BJ and when he walked past, I knew. I didn't tell them I knew; but it was wierd. Thing was that I couldn't ever catch them. It was enfuriating and I decided that I would just give up and try to forget about it. We went to Texas to see the family; I didn't find a reason to beat anyone up this time, and hanging out with the other girls around my age was fun.

ok, it's time to admit that I've slacked off. Four kids, a new house, a dog, 2 cats, and a turtle will do that though.. did I forget the husband? I'll be trying to get back into the story, first I have to get my life organized, and my mom has to find all of her paperwork which details certain story events... We'll see what happens, hopefully things can begin to be more organized, and start to make sense to an actual reader who wasn't there when the story was written!

Stephanie: I made it through lunch with Row, and continued to wait for some kind of response from these people... I couldn't accept that they would just let it go. If anything had happened while I was gone, Lacey wasn't talking.

He wasn't packing anything either, not even a pistol. I would be tense for weeks, I was sure.

Lacey, do you really believe they'll leave you alone?

Lacey:Why not, they haven't made any move at all ! So perhaps-they don't really need me after all.

Stephanie: If you were worried about poison in your water the other day, why are you so ready to drink it today? You have to be kidding me... how do we know if they've made a move or not; you think they'd call you and tell you?
Lacey: Actually yes! You will notice that I'm not dead !

Stephanie: What will I ever do with you Lacey!!! I can't even keep a straight face while I'm sitting worried I may wake up to a dead husband in the morning!! I should just do it myself... you jerk!

Lacey:That's what I love about you, your optimism . Your sense of humor isn't bad either. I held her in my arms and told her everything was going to be alright and hoped she would believe me.

Stephanie: SURE, I believed him... not. I would just have to try and brush it off though, because Lacey still didn't know what fear was. Maybe that was what made him stand out so much at Brian Doyle's party all those years ago. Must be what scares Row about him too. She has a firm belief that fear is human, and if you don't feel it you just might be evil.

Lacey: When we made love that night, Steph was all I thought about . Pleasing her . She was the only one I held in my mind and heart, my one and only thought was of and for her. Nothing else mattered!

Pandora: I looked through my things sorting through what was important and what could be thrown out... Alexis had said that sometimes the school would hold mail from students, for whatever reason. She worked in the office and promised that she could find a way to get those letters to us, it appeared that I had a couple of my own that hadn't been delivered. There was a knock on our door, and when I answered it, it was Alexis. She carried a large basket full of mail.
Alexis: Most of this stuff is for you. I guess they don't think that you're friends should be able to contact you or something. There's some here for Diane too, I'll have to wait until next week to take Susie and Clara's out; otherwise I'll get caught.
Pandora: Thank you Alexis, I really appreciate everything you had to go through to do this for me.
Alexis: Not a problem, just let me read some of this fan mail when you're done!!!
Pandora: Well, why don't you come in, and we'll see what's here; I doubt there's any fan mail! Alexis came in the room, and we went through the letters, there was a package from Po', and a letter also. In fact, I hadn't realized that I had anyone on my side at public school, much less the ones that wrote to me!! I opened the letter and package from Po'Em, and called her immediately, apologising for the delay. I just can't believe that they would take it upon themselves to morally police my mail by sender!!
I thought you forgot about me, I'm glad I was wrong. I actually sent some papers for you yesterday. I've decided I'm going shopping for office type stuff later, so that I don't have to worry about the school getting in the way of business. I reralized I was talking to an answering machine, and got off the phone. Alexis and I looked through the rest of my mail, and then we went office shopping; Diane didn't want to come with us.
Po'em: After lunch with Hennesy we talked about business, his and mine. He refreshed my memory concerning certain people we knew who I might consider hiring. I went over,in my head everything I knew about them. In the end I made offers of employment to 3 of them, two accepted.
I still had received nothing from Pandora concerning my first letter to her. I had now waited much to long which was not at all like me. I sent her a special phone she could use to keep in touch with me. I also repeated the same message I had sent to her before, making sure to tell her this was not the first time I had tried to contact her. Then I waited, noting on the calendar the date sent.

Pandora: Homesickness was infectious. I could tell that Dianne was feeling it, but for some reason she wasn't willing to talk about it, she wouldn't even open her letters from home much less her privacy curtain. The only way I could deal with it was writing home, reading the letters everyone sent, posting up the photos and things that came in the letters. It wasn't until after Thanksgiving that Diane came out of her 'episode'. Things were so much different now that I wasn't home. Mom was working for Po' and so was Hunter; I felt I had been replaced. I hadn't thought that going away to school would be the end of my involvement in the company... I was wrong I guess. Maybe I'd have to come up with a new business all my own. I thought better of it for the time being, I had enough to do already.

Wednesday, May 12, 2004

Diane: I liked Pandora. The teachers were excellent as were the town and school. Everything was perfect! After a while I began to look for the fly in the ointment.
In November I started to become home-sick. I missed my family and would quietly cry myself to sleep each night. I could feel myself pulling away from the friends I'd made. I felt alone and that I was the only one feeling this way now. I installed my privacy curtain -all I had to do was tell it to open or close and it would. I began to have it closed more than open and when she asked I told Pandora I wanted to be alone.
There were people we could talk to about our problems, I just didn't want to share mine.
I felt unable to say anything. I had wanted to come so badly and insisted so long and hard that I would feel foolish admitting that I was home-sick now. We had been told that it would -could happen but, I had thought it would be right away, not now.
Any mail I received went into a drawer unopened and stayed there. I would not answer it or return calls from home.
I pinned a "I am not in" notice on my privacy curtain and I requested permission to stay on campus over the holidays. That was farther than my family was willing to go and the second Saturday in November my father came to school for a conference.
I wanted to run to him and throw my arms around his neck and beg him to take me home, never to return but, I didn't. We sat and I listened while they discussed how I was doing and then I walked my dad to the car. I broke down and told him everything. He agreed to Thanksgiving but we would discuss Christmas at a later date. I felt so much better already.
My mood improved and I became my old self again, to the relief of my friends.

Monday, May 03, 2004

Lacey: We waited and nothing happened. I hoped that it was all over, that it was just an offer and that was all.

Thursday, April 29, 2004

Diane: I was finally here! When I opened the door I saw that I wasn't going to be able to pick anything. My room mate was already here. I set my bag on the empty bed . Hi, I'm Diane, I said and held out my hand. When she turned around I saw that she was very pretty, with blond hair, not dyed, perfect I thought. Everything about her was perfect and I could tell that she came from money. It wasn't rocket science and I wasn't physic . It was her luggage, as simple as that.
She shook my hand and said hi. Her name was Pandora she told me. It was quite an unusual name I told her. Your father wouldn't happen to be Eagle Monroe would he?

Pandora: He's my dad alright, wish they hadn't given me such a landmark name sometimes though. Where are you from?

Diane: I'm from Pennsylvania, the small town of ____and you? I don't really know much about ...I paused, I didn't know how to say it, so I merely said ...Your family....and hoped that she wasn't insulted.

Pandora: Somerset, Texas. We spent some time getting things set up, and getting familiar with each other. This was going to be better than I thought. I had expected that everyone would know all about both me and my family. Diane and I made all kinds of friends, and I got exactly what I wanted out of the whole thing. I took the classes I wanted, there were no rumors being spread around about me, and there was no little brother picking on me about how serious I always am.

2407

Po'Em: Marilyn would be starting school this year as would Chablis. I hoped that it would be an exciting adventure for them. I was excited! Pandora was going to a privet school now and I missed her. Her brother Hunter wanted to step in and take her place in the company. I did agree to listen to his ideas and if I used any of them he would be compensated.
The business had grown so much that it was getting to be to much for me to handle alone. Actually,it was past that point already. I would have to hire someone I could trust to help me run it. Pandora and I would also have to find a way to have meetings while she was at school. I needed to be able to talk to her the way we always had. I wasn't sure she could handle it in the same way as before and I wondered if she wanted to . I could buy her out or make her vice-president of special projects. That would put her out of the loop and she wouldn't have to worry about the company for long periods of time. While I still had the thought in my head I sat and wrote to her about it. She could let me know what she wanted to do, in writing.

My story books were continuing to sell, people didn't seem to tire of them. I had just finished another collection of stories and my publisher was talking about a book signing tour. He would have to wait for an answer. I would need to discuss it with Hennesy. It would require more planning now that Marilyn was in school and I wasn't sure what was happening with things on the Whale.
I called Marijuana-Hi girl, how would you like to work for me, I asked her.

Marijuana: Doing what, exactly?
Po : Helping me with advertising for my furniture company. Doing whatever your best at. After all, you went to school to learn it you might as well use it, right? We talked about other plans-things we wanted to do and what had happened that morning. When we hung-up I realized that it was time for lunch and Hennesy would be home soon. I hoped that he would be bring take-out although food was not my first thought. I would make my other calls later. The company would wait.

Saturday, April 24, 2004

BJ: We ate at one of the old places near the school. Then headed home. We hadn't seen anyone we knew but, had a good time anyway. The next day , Monday, Keely found out that we would have to rearrange our dance schedule. I told her it wasn't a problem we could always figure something out. By the beginning of September our classes were over and Caroline had been back for a week or so. Now I had to remember to lock my door. The condo was finished soon after Caroline started school and they came back to Summerset to see it with me. I was very pleased with how everything had come together. The only thing missing were my personal things-clothes etc. Keely and Caroline went to visit family for the rest of the time they were here. I stayed at the condo and made a list of things I would need and began to make the place my own. I took out the pictures I had intended to hang or set on the floating shelves. I sorted through them and as often happens when people start sorting through photos I got caught up in them. I finally set the ones of Mercedes and I aside I would do something with them later. The chosen ones finally found themselves in frames -on the wall or shelf. There was one from Christmas that I would enlarge. That taken care of, I headed for the market. I would only buy enough for a few days and each time after that I would add to what I would need. It sounded like a good plan to me. I gave Keely another years rent for my room. I was comfortable there and now it felt like going home. I was given a house warming party by my friends, at my condo. We had a good time and I received some nice gifts too. My life went on pretty much as it always had, only now that Mercedes wasn't in it , I started to actually date again. In the time I had been with her I had only had two very short affairs. A few people asked if Mercedes and I had divorced. I was surprised at the number of people I would meet in the next year who believed that.

Wednesday, April 21, 2004

BJ: I laughed a little, you mean Caroline's behavior, don't you? I don't see why her behavior should cause you to lose your job Keely. Have you tried putting her in a private school? Catholic, maybe ? You don't have to be of that religion to go there. You could always transfer to Summerset-your job that is, if the company has a base there . You would have a bigger support base. Don't worry about that right now. The job sounds like a dream, enjoy it. Look, it's eleven now and dance class is tomorrow morning. I'm going to get ready for bed. I lightly kissed her lips if you need or want anything that's where I'll be. Keely, what I said earlier, about us- forget it . I'm fine--good night.
Keely: Oh crud, yes, that's what I meant! I couldn't believe I had mixed up myself and my daughter. Good night. I wasn't so sure he was fine, but it also didn't make sense that he would end a relationship; rather than stop the affair to begin with. Ah yes, dance class in the morning, off to bed I go!
BJ:The next morning we went to class as usual and although the reasons for taking it had changed I still enjoyed it. I felt more relaxed and at ease with myself and Keely now. We talked to our instructor about Monday's class telling him that we might have to change hours or I might need a new partner-we weren't sure yet. He nodded, and I told him I would let him know as soon as we did. He thanked us and we left. Keely, how would you like to go with me to check on how my condo is coming along. I haven't been there for a couple of days and I want to see what they have done.
Keely: Yea, it sounds like an adventure. They haven't been doing well without you being there to provide supervision have they?
BJ: No they haven't . Mom is ready at a moments notice to call in the whole Cash clan- I told her I had it under control, even laughed about it. If they screw up again though I may decide to let her handle it. Would you like to eat when we get there or before? I would like to change before we leave, something more casual I think. Do you agree?
Keely: I think it would be wise to change, it might be a good idea to eat first too.
BJ: We went home changed and ate. Keely had all kinds of food put up from her cooking -baking spree of the week before. We talked about class and the people in it. We had to find time to practice and a place. I looked at the clock and we decided to get going. We arrived in the park near my condo at 12:30. There seemed to be a lot of activity going on. Good or bad I couldn't tell yet. I turned to Keely, does it seem to you that there are way too many workers here, or is it just me? I did hire my own inspector but, I really don't know anything about it myself. Maybe I should ask uncle Henry ?
Keely: Ummm, I'd say so. How can any work get done with so many people in the way?
BJ: So that is exactly what I did. When I called I told him who I was and I appoligized for bothering them on a Sunday. Then I told him what we had discovered and what had happened the week before.
Henry: Do you have your paper work with you Boyd ? He told me that he did . I suggested that he and his friend come over to the house and we would look things over together. Then I hung up. Sarah, I walked to the door of my study and spoke to my wife. It looks as if we will be having company for dessert -two more. Do you recall my sister Grace calling a few days ago? Well, evidently Boyd does need our help. Is Aiden working or is he still up here ? I'd like him to join us,since we are having company and it is family. I can use the intercom if he is already gone.
BJ: I looked at the phone, then up at Keely. I guess we're having dessert with my uncle. Ready?
Keely: Certainly.
Sarah: I think he's still up here, I'll grab him.
Henry: Thank you Sarah I said, catching her cheek with a kiss before she left to ensnare our son. I took the time before they arrived to go over what information I had collected about Boyd's project. From what I could gather so far it all looked straight forward and not that complicated. I set the file aside, I wasn't going to worry about anything yet, there was no need. When they arrived we were just gathering in the library and after introduction, dessert was brought in the usual small talk took place. I took Boyd into the den and went over things with him.
BJ: Your more than welcome to get together with the contractor and look over the project if that will help. At this point I am completely at a loss. We went to the condo and I wandered around with Keely while uncle Henry, the contractor and the inspectors talked. After half an hour it was all sorted out. Uncle Henry seemed satisfied anyway and he would know. We all thanked him -inspectors, contractor, everyone and then he left. Keely and I now had the rest of the afternoon to ourselves and I asked her if she would like to go aboard the Whale. We could relax, practice our dancing, swim, almost do anything or we could just walk around town, talk and visit the places we used to go when we were very young.
Keely: I opted for the latter, it had been a long time since I'd been in town. We walked around, stopping to notice things that had changed, and remembering things we'd done in school.
